Dr. Sophia Yin

Last week the animal world lost one of it’s super stars, Dr. Sophia Yin. Dr. Yin was a pioneer and champion of positive reinforcement, force-free training. She sought to improve our understanding of animals and their behaviors so we could better care for them and appreciate them. Her legacy lives on through her website and publications, and by way of the animal community continuing to apply her methods. At Wagfield, we believe wholeheartedly in her approach and are working to bring it to you via our online programming. Welcome to Wagfield! We are so excited to bring our complete dog training and puppy rearing school to market today! I have been thinking about creating what is now Wagfield since I got Maddie, my first springer spaniel. When I got Maddie, I thought my experience growing up around dogs coupled with an in-person class would cover everything I needed to know. I soon found out that wasn’t the case. The challenges started right out of the gate. First, it was tough to find a good trainer. Then when I did it, the available classes were expensive and difficult to fit with my schedule.
